Farel Graduation September 15 at 8 p.m.
With great joy we announce that Farel Reformed Theological Seminary will hold its graduation ceremony on Friday the 15th of September at 8 p.m. in Cheney Hall of the former Erskine and American United Church (corner du Musée and Sherbrooke; enter at 3407-A avenue du Musée). Although by no means our first graduation ceremony, this is particularly important as it is the first since the move to Montréal. Our visiting commencement speaker, Dr. John Leonard of Westminster Theological Seminary (Philadelphia), will exhort the Farel community on “The Challenges of Ministry in the 21st Century.” Besides teaching missions at Westminster Seminary, Dr. Leonard has extensive experience as a missionary among French-speaking Muslims in France. The speech will be given in French, but a shortened translation in English will be made available and Dr. Leonard will be available for those who wish to speak with him (in French and English) after the speech.
For those interested, Dr. Leonard will also be leading a round-table discussion on his experiences Friday morning, at FAREL. For more information on either the graduation ceremony or Dr. Leonard’s visit please contact Rev. Zuidema.
