II. 1. Orientation The programme of Farel Reformed Theological Seminary allows future pastors and all students to pursue an in-depth study of the Word of God with a view to the gospel ministry or to another area of service in the church. Our theological teaching is, therefore, coloured by a pastoral and missiological orientation. This theological programme emphasizes acquiring understanding and a comprehensive practice of theology which will be necessary for the ministry of pastor-evangelist. A balance is sought in each session among Biblical Theology, Systematic Theology, Pastoral Theology, and Historical Theology. II. 2. Structure of the Programme This programme is normally followed over a 3-year period and requires completing 90 credits. Courses are offered during the day and in the evening, during two semesters per year ( Autumn : September to December ; and Winter : January through April). Farel offers, periodically, a third session of intensive studies (Summer : May and June).
