International students must also demonstrate adequate resources for financing their education by providing relevant documentation from banks or sponsors.

Language Requirements and French Tests

The ability to communicate in French at a basic level is necessary for the student who wishes to enroll in any program of study at Farel Seminary.  All canddiates for admission who have not completed primary or secondary school in French must pass the standard test for French administered at the college level, the Test de français international (TFI) with a score of at least 605 out of 990. This score is a prerequisite for enrollment in their program.

Transfer Students

Students seeking to transfer to FAREL from other Seminaries, Universities, Colleges, or institutions of higher learning will be evaluated on a case by case basis for transfer credits. FAREL will make every effort to provide the student a smooth transition to FAREL’s program and curriculum. Transcripts of previous work must be sent to the Dean for evaluation and credit transfer. Occasionally competency exams may be offered to ensure the most flexibility possible.

Graduation Requirements

Students must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.67 (B-) or higher during the seminary program to be entitled to the degree. The total number of semester hours required for the Master of Divinity and the Bachelor of Theology degrees is 96.

Before graduating, a student must meet his financial obligations to the Seminary or make suitable arrangements to meet them. No transcript of academic credits will be forwarded until financial obligations have been met.
